In pursuance of the instructions of the Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, on July 22, 2020, a videoconference was held between the Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan, Mr. Zavqizoda Zavqi Amin, and the Representative of the Department for Trade and Economic Affairs of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the Republic of Tajikistan, Mr. Sun Yan.
During the meeting, a number of important issues were discussed, namely the dispatch of Chinese specialists to ensure the smooth operation of joint ventures, the construction and reconstruction of infrastructure projects in the transport, energy and social sectors, as well as the resumption of the work of the Tajik-Chinese Mining Company located in p. Zarnisor, Guliston, Sughd region.
At the same time, the Minister of Economic Development and Trade asked for assistance in simplifying the procedure for the transfer of goods in the Kulm border area by trailing containers, as well as assistance in completing the construction work of the Kulob-Sh.Shohin and Shkev-Qalayum sections project by the 30th day anniversary of the Independence Day Tajikistan.
The Chinese side announced that in August this year it will send 250 Chinese specialists to the Republic of Tajikistan, of which 150 specialists will be employed for the construction of the "New Parliament building and the complex of buildings for the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan" and the reconstruction of the Bokhtar-Kulyab intercity roads, including the Kulyab-Muminabad section and 100 Chinese specialists. for other projects in various fields.
The Chinese side expressed its readiness to cooperate and comprehensively provide technical assistance regarding these proposals.
